LUSO is PARSUK's annual gathering that brings together Portuguese students, researchers, and graduated professionals residing in the United Kingdom. It aims to deepen reflections on global themes relevant to Portuguese, British, and global societies. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the relationships amongst PARSUK members and establish new contacts and partnerships.

Science, Innovation and Portuguese-speaking Culture in the United Kingdom
LUSO 2025 will be a diverse celebration of science, innovation and Lusophone culture in the United Kingdom.
We invite our members and institutional partners to join this discussion as active promoters of diversity that builds bridges and generates impact.

Refund policy: Cancellations made up to September 20th will be entitled to a 50% refund of the amount paid. After that date, no refund will be issued.

If you do not hold a PARSUK membership, you can take advantage of our time limited offer to purchase a LUSO 2023 ticket + a PARSUK membership plan at a 50% discounted rate. Offer available only until the 15th of October.

Research Pitch
With the support of the Anglo-Portuguese Society, the purpose of the Research Pitch is to promote Science Communication in a clear, creative and effective way.
Participants have the opportunity to present their research project in 3 minutes to a diverse audience, where they will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the public.
Application deadline: September 30th | Prize: £500
