PARSUK. Meeting with the Portugal's President

PARSUK has participated in the “An interactive discussion with the President of Portugal” event at Imperial College on 11 June.
This was an invitation made by Portugal's President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa's speech was focused on the migration of Portuguese scientists to the UK.

Rebelo de Sousa said that the Portuguese scientists have been giving an "active" contribution with a "positive impact" on the economy and academic community.
In a note to the Secretary of State for Education, Nadhim Zahawi, who was present, Portugal's President said that the Portuguese scientists and researchers are "top-notch".
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa's speech underlined the celebration of the 650 years of the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance.
The Foreign Secretary João Gomes Cravinho, and Francisco Veloso, the Dean of Imperial College Business School and member of PARSUK's Scientific Board, were also present.
This interactive discussion around the importance of the Portuguese students and researchers in the UK to build a common future and spread the scientific culture and Portuguese identity was continued in a Pub nearby Imperial College, where members of PARSUK have joined.
